The following Terms and Conditions apply.

Fees (for booked sessions): Fees will be payable in accordance with the rates in force at the time. Please enquire at the nursery for information concerning fees at the current time or in the future. Any changes to current rates will be advised in writing, at least one month in advance.

Overtime rate (for time which is not booked in advance)
Any extra time for which the child is present will be charged at the current overtime rate per hour (or part thereof).

Deposit To secure a place: an initial deposit is payable equivalent to:- 1 month's fee.
(This will be returned at the termination of the contract provided all payments have been met in full.)

Monthly payments
(in advance):-
payments due on the first day of every calendar month.
Notice: 1 months’ notice or equivalent payment in lieu.
Settling in Period:

1 month, during which time notice will not be required if
either party wishes to terminate the agreement.

Invoicing and Payment: (Arrangements will be made to calculate an initial fee to the end of the first month which must be settled by cheque, in advance.) Thereafter, payment will be due on the first day of every calendar month, payable by Direct Debit. Nursery vouchers will be accepted as means of payment in advance however, a one-off administration fee of £20.00 will be charged. Fees incurred for any overtime or Extra Sessions during a period will be payable by Direct Debit on the 1st day of the following month. Charging period will be per calendar month. Where a Statutory Public Holiday falls on a day when the child normally attends, the sessional rates will apply in full. Where notice is given to terminate the agreement during the month of December, an appropriate adjustment to the final invoice will be made to reflect attendance during the previous 12 months.

Sickness
Kinders Mill Day Nursery cannot normally undertake the care of sick children. The nursery must be informed of any child illnesses, sickness or problems before attempting to bring the child to the premises. Each case can then be considered strictly on an individual basis.
In the interests of other children and staff it will be necessary to exclude any child who has been diagnosed with certain contagious illnesses and diseases. This exclusion will remain in force until the condition has been cleared by the child's doctor. The current list of illnesses includes:- chicken pox, mumps, rubella, measles, etc.

Occasional absence: No refund will be given in the event of the child's absence due to illness or for any other reason.

Nursery Closure Dates: Kinders Mill will normally be closed for three days between Christmas and New Year plus two additional days per year which will be used for staff training (dates to be advised).

Statutory Public holidays: The nursery will be closed on Statutory Public Holidays.

Other Arrangements

The nursery will provide nappies as required during the day. Where possible, the children will spend some time outdoors each day. Therefore, depending on the season and prevailing weather conditions, parents must provide adequate and suitable outdoor clothing. In summer, a sun hat will be required. As a matter of course, parents must also provide a change of clothes. All personal items must be named. Baby bottles and formula milk will be supplied by the nursery.

Special permissions

Emergency Medical Treatment
If the child requires medical treatment urgently and the parents cannot be contacted within a reasonable time, to prevent possible hazard, permission is given for any necessary medical treatment by a qualified doctor and/or nurse.

Administering medication.
In order for nursery staff to administer any medication to the child, full details must be given in advance and the written permission authorized on a Medical Permissions form. A fresh permission form must be completed for any new medication.

Use of skin creams, nappy wipes, suntan creams.
Permission is given for nursery staff or a supervised trainee, to administer to the child in accordance with accepted good practice, any cream or lotion, cotton wool or baby wipes as are deemed necessary.

Activities and Travel
Permission is given for the child to travel in accordance with the published nursery travel policy in a vehicle if necessary, including car, train, and bus and with prior agreement, for him/her to attend outside activities or outings.

Photographs and Video Clips
Permission is given for nursery staff to take photographs and video clips of the child for operational and marketing purposes.
